Meet Jill Palmer, Certified Trauma Coach

Jill Palmer is a Certified Trauma Coach with a deep understanding of the lasting impact trauma can have on an individual's mental, emotional and physical well-being. Having navigated her own journey through trauma, she brings a unique perspective and empathy to her work. Jill’s approach is shaped by a wide range of practices and training, including Somatics, Reiki, Jin Shin do, Yoga, Oneness and her Trauma Recovery Coaching certification, which entitles her to run a Trauma Informed Practice and is supported by her persistence and dedication to helping her clients.

Childhood trauma or emotional abuse can be incredibly difficult to navigate and overcome, but with the right support and guidance, healing and moving forward in a positive direction are possible. As a professional trained in trauma-informed care, Jill’s mission is to create a safe space for personal growth and transformation. She equips her clients with mindfulness techniques, self-care practices, and coping strategies for anxiety and stress management.

Healing from trauma takes time, and Jill is committed to supporting her clients’ emotional well-being through empowerment and empathy. Her goal is to help them build resilience and find strength on their healing journey. Sessions with Jill are conducted via Zoom, allowing clients to receive support in the comfort of their own homes, making her services both accessible and effective for mental health support.

WHAT DO I DO?

I help you discover what is holding you back from being happy and successful in your life. You might feel sad and depressed all the time  or self-critical, impatient or frustrated at others.  You might have the same issues in relationships that come up over and over again.  I help you uncover and process old wounds, negative beliefs  and give you tools to help you work through anxiety, dis-regulation and disconnection. I like to think of myself as a pattern breaker.

Trauma is not just what happened to you!
Trauma is also what you didn’t get that you needed!

Did you know that chronic pain can be from unhealed trauma?

Did you know that anxiety is an emotion stored in the body coming from unprocessed trauma which is why mindfulness does not always work to calm anxiety. Working with a bottom up approach is very helpful which is why I teach somatic practices.

Somatic practices aim to treat PTSD and other mental and emotional health issues through the connection of mind and body. This body-centric approach works by helping to release stress, tension and trauma from the body and is great for nervous system regulation and grounding techniques. Practising somatics can be a great way to discover inner healing through self-awareness, self-compassion & self-discovery.

We will work together to support where ever you are at by taking you through  somatic mind-body processes to help you work through a current trigger that is causing you stress and discomfort and is holding you back.

Harmony Wave

This session will take you far away into a deep meditative state so you feel you are floating on the clouds. A great way to release tension, stress and anxiety and help alleviate any pain & inflammation in the body.

As a trauma coach I will primarily focus on your current life and how trauma is affecting you in the present. I will work with you to help you rediscover your authentic self by working with somatic practices to help regulate your nervous system and release blocks in the body. We will then build up your strengths, healthy beliefs and cultivate a more robust trauma healing toolbox.

Anxiety, depression, dissociation, perfectionism, substance misuse, self harm, disordered eating, over working and burnout may be some of the struggles and symptoms you are experiencing.

These symptoms can serve as cues you are living out of alignment with your authentic self.

A life altering experience, such as betrayal in relationship, divorce, job loss, accident, illness or death often intensifies these symptoms and they can become debilitating.

These experiences have the potential to break our hearts and in the breaking, crack us open to the discovery of our true selves.

Knowing our authentic self and living in alignment can foster a more meaningful, fulfilling life.
