A trauma therapy coaching session involves working with a trained professional to address and heal from past traumatic experiences. Here's an overview of what you can expect during a trauma therapy coaching session with me:

  • I will create a safe and supportive space for you to share your experiences and emotions. I will prioritize your emotional well-being and also make sure you feel comfortable throughout the session.

  • I will take time to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you. Trust is crucial in trauma therapy, as it allows you to open up about your experiences and work collaboratively towards healing.

  • I will conduct an initial assessment to gain an understanding of your trauma history, symptoms, and current challenges. Together, you will establish goals for therapy based on your specific needs and aspirations.

  • I will provide education about trauma and its effects on the mind and body. Understanding how trauma impacts you can help normalize your experiences and reduce self-blame or confusion.

  • Trauma therapy often involves learning and practising coping skills to manage distressing symptoms. This may include relaxation techniques and also grounding exercises, breathing exercises, or other self-soothing strategies.

  • I will use various techniques to help you process and make sense of traumatic memories. This could include talk therapy, detach and circle around approach, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Havening technique or various somatic practices.

  • Traumatic experiences can also disrupt emotional regulation. I will work with you to identify and regulate intense emotions that arise during the session and provide guidance on how to manage them outside of therapy.

  • The ultimate goal of trauma therapy coaching is to facilitate healing and integration. I will help you work through unresolved emotions, re-frame negative beliefs, and foster resilience, empowering you to move forward in your life.

It's essential to remember that trauma therapy can be a gradual and ongoing process. The number of sessions required varies depending on individual circumstances and therapeutic goals. Together we will tailor the sessions to your specific needs and provide support as you navigate your healing journey.

PEMF Mat Session - In person

What Is PEMF?

A PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) mat session involves using a mat or pad that emits electromagnetic fields to stimulate the body's natural healing processes. PEMF therapy is used for various purposes, including pain relief, relaxation, improved sleep, increasing circulation and oxygen, depression, anxiety, wound healing and enhancing overall well-being. Here's what you can expect during a PEMF mat session:

  • You will be guided to lie down in a comfortable and quiet space on the PEMF mat.

  • We will start with a low intensity and gradually increase it to a level that feels comfortable for you. The intensity can be adjusted based on your sensitivity and the desired effects.

  • Duration: The duration of a PEMF mat session can vary, but it typically lasts between 30 minutes to an hour. However, you can adjust the time based on your needs.

  • Relaxation: Once you're lying down on the mat, close your eyes, and try to relax your body and mind. You may choose to meditate, listen to calming music, or engage in deep breathing exercises to enhance relaxation. You may find yourself drifting off into the clouds.

  • Sensations: As the PEMF mat emits electromagnetic fields, you may feel gentle pulsations or vibrations. These sensations are usually not uncomfortable and are part of the therapy. However, if you experience any discomfort, you can adjust the intensity.

  • Post-session: After the session is complete, take some time to gradually transition back to your regular activities. It's common to feel relaxed and rejuvenated following a PEMF mat session, and some people report improved sleep quality and reduced pain or discomfort.

My personal experience with PEMF

PEMF found me after many years of being in pain everyday from a bulging disc and sciatica injury. I also suffered from extremely tight muscles and joints and had fibromyalgia for years mostly due to my trauma I experienced as a child and growing up. I was in India at the Oneness University practising meditation and even though I had done years of yoga it was still very painful for me to sit in crossed legged pose. I had also given up doing my acupressure treatments on clients as it was too painful. I prayed with all my might to find something that I could heal my body with and I could help heal others as well.

When I got back to Canada my friend introduced me to the PEMF mat. My prayers had been answered. I immediately bought a mat and started using it 2 or 3 times a day. Within a couple weeks I was sleeping better and noticing less pain and restriction. Before I got the mat I could not sit for more than 5 minutes without being in excrutiating pain. I was not sleeping, I had anxiety all the time and loads of depression. It was hard to get out of bed sometimes as I was so exhausted and had no energy. I was simply trying to survive each day.

After being in chronic pain for 8 years and nothing helping it, I continued to use the mat daily and within about a month I was able to sit without pain and my back was bout 60% better. I kept up the sessions and I got stronger and stronger. My anxiety went away, I started sleeping, I had more energy, I felt more relaxed and grounded, I didn’t feel so tight and restricted in my body and most of all the pain was getting better everyday.

I continue to use my mat but my health has gotten so much better I don’t have to do it daily anymore and often forget that I ever had a back issue and can sit as long as I need to pain free.

As I had such a great experience, I wanted to share it with others so became a PEMF mat facilitator. I offer PEMF mat sessions and also am a distributor so can order them for people. The mat is from Germany and it is a Type 2 medical device for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, MS, anxiety, headaches, wound healing, tissue regeneration, nerve damage, insomnia, cancer, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.

I highly recommend this mat to anyone that has had trauma or pain in their body. It helps release the tension we hold in our body from pent up past trauma. It does so in a relaxing, non-invasive manner and makes you feel so relaxed and revived afterwards some would say its like an internal massage or a re-set button.
