What I Do!

Somatic Healing
The Body Keeps the Score

Unlike conventional Counseling, which is very in the head based therapy which never helped me heal it just kept me going around in circles and re-traumatizing me, I work with a body up-approach since trauma is stored in the body. A body-up approach like somatics help people release stuck energy, regulate the nervous system and create lasting change. Somatic Practices release stuck emotions and trapped fight, flight or freeze responses in the body. I will also teach you somatic exercises to help you stay regulated when triggered.

If you are struggling with ongoing sadness, anxiety, dissociation, depression, hypervigilance, being jumpy or easily startled, feeling irritable or having aggressive behaviour or feeling confused and are looking for a safe and supportive space to work through your experience and emotions and begin your journey towards healing, I am here to help. As a trained and certified trauma coach, I am equipped with the knowledge and skills to guide you through the healing process and provide you with the tools and support you need to thrive.  One of the main modalities I use is
Somatic Processing.

I’m passionate to support you, who perhaps, like myself, have experienced trauma in some form that blocks you from moving forward. It can be a silent prison cell, that if your like me was hard to break free from. I tried many avenues to heal, but for years I experienced shame, never felt good enough, felt unlovable, alone, sad, anxiety, depression, like I didn’t belong, severely triggered, panic attacks, disconnected in relationships, chronic body pain, hypervigilance and just avoided my emotions at all cost because it was too painful.  It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom and finally stepped out of fear and into a life of healing that I could finally live life with freedom and ease. For the past several years now, I no longer feel lonely, sad, depressed, anxiety, unlovable or not good enough.  Instead, I feel empowered, like I belong, resilient, emotionally regulated, I have less body pains, less hypervigilance, have better relationships, and live with more happiness, peace and most of all more compassion for myself.

If you are ready to heal, in our coaching sessions, we will work together to explore the root causes of your trauma and develop strategies to cope with the associated emotions and behaviors. We will also focus on building self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-care practices to support your ongoing healing journey. As I am trained in somatic body healing and used it in my own healing journey, I will also guide you if appropriate to show you ways to move the stuck, no longer needed energy out of your body so you can feel lighter and brighter and like your authentic self again.

Trauma coaching can be a powerful and transformative experience. If you are ready to take the first step towards healing and growth, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a coaching session with me. Together, we can work towards a brighter, healthier future.

My mission is to empower individuals to help them heal from the effects of trauma and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.

LETS RISE TOGETHER!

Break Free from Trauma: Healing Through Somatic Practices & Nervous System Regulation

How Can I Help You?

I help you discover what is holding you back from being happy and successful in your life. You might feel sad and depressed all the time  or self-critical, impatient or frustrated at others.  You might have the same issues in relationships that come up over and over again.  I help you uncover and process old wounds, negative beliefs  and give you tools to help you work through anxiety, dis-regulation and disconnection. I like to think of myself as a pattern breaker.

Understanding Trauma: How It Impacts Your Mind, Body & Nervous System

“Trauma is not just what happened to you!
Trauma is also what you didn’t get that you needed!”

Did you know that chronic pain can be from unhealed trauma?

Did you know that anxiety is an emotion stored in the body coming from unprocessed trauma which is why mindfulness does not always work to calm anxiety. Working with a bottom up approach is very helpful which is why I teach somatic practices.

Somatic practices aim to treat PTSD and other mental and emotional health issues through the connection of mind and body. This body-centric approach works by helping to release stress, tension and trauma from the body and is great for nervous system regulation and grounding techniques. Practising somatics can be a great way to discover inner healing through self-awareness, self-compassion & self-discovery.
